| The first real mountain peak on this trip, is the mount "Hoher Kasten". Lunch is served at the revolving restaurant with views of 4 of the 5 countries surrounding Switzerland (FL, AT, DE, FR)! St. Gall, with the Abbey Library, an UNESCO World Culture Heritage, is awaiting the group in the afternoon. A local, very experienced guide will introduce us to exciting history: of the town itself, the monastery and the Abbey Library. | |||

3) Hands On Experience # 1 |

On the way to the "Bernese Oberland" we will stop at a cheese factory and you will get introduced to the secrets of cheese making. After Lunch, we will visit Berne, our second UNESCO World Heritage on this tour. A local guide will show you around the town, and as a special event, you will be able to visit the world famous Clock Tower - not only from outside - but also see the inside with its medieval clockwork! |

4) Hands On Experience # 2 |

| Today's program includes a trip to french-speaking Switzerland and the history of chocolate. The picturesque town of Gruyere and the venerable castle will round out the day. For the chocolate is a "Hands-on Experience" on the schedule in the afternoon. | |||

5) Transfer to the Engadin |

| Depending on the season and snow / road conditions, we drive this transfer over the Oberalp Pass or through Central Switzerland. In order not to sit all day in the minibus, we will visit a museum around noon (Sargans or Grimsel). | |||

6) A day in the Engadin |

| The horse-drawn omnibus takes us to the Roseg valley, where we can survey the glacier. Who would like - and is sporty (enough) - can also take the bike as an alternative - or even walk one or both ways. After lunch, we will climb further up, we take the funicular up to the Muottas Muragl. There is probably no better view of the Upper Engadin. | |||

7) Transfer to Zurich |

On the way to Zurich, we will have the possibility to visit the museum of the Albula - Bernina line - the 3rd UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. |

We will travel with the "Treno Gottardo" via the old, very beautiful route, through the Gotthard Summit Tunnel. In Bellinzona a local guide will explain / show us the site of one of the three castles, the last UNESCO World Heritage Site on this trip. Back to the northern side of the alps, we travel by train through the longest railroad tunnel in the world (57 km / 35.5 miles long), the Gotthard Base Tunnel. |

9) Rhine falls |

With those guests who leave not before 15:00 pm from Zurich, we will visit the Rhine falls, the largest waterfall in Europe, in the morning. |
